08/04/17 - My Genre

Assignment Description: The genre that the image on the left portraits is aerial because it is an image from inside a plane,it is an image of the below ground. The image on the left could portrait several genres, one genre that it looks the most like is wildlife photography because it is showing animals, birds, in their somewhat adapted habitat. I like these genres because they show what is in the image in its natural habitat. I have captured these genres of images before, but it was before I knew about the genres and intentionally. Both of these genres are different from other genres because they are not images of people and it is images of things that are natural and not set up. My favorite genre to capture is landscape and aerial photography.
8/09/17 - Composition Through My Lens

These images portray good and bad composition because one has things going on in the background and the other does not.
Good Composition Image: The composition applied in this image is the rule of thirds, balance, and background. This image has good composition because the rule of thirds is applied, and it has a good background with not a lot of things going on. The image portrays balance because the trees aren't the same height which gives it height and dimension as well. The genre of this image is landscape and nature. the sunset makes the trees look black which in my opinion makes it look like a drawing.
Bad Composition Image: The image on the left has bad composition because it is taken from inside of a car and you can see the dashboard, the road, which would be fine if there wasn't cars driving along it. the image would be better if there wasn't any cars and if I zoom out on the image to eliminate the car dashboard.
8/11/17 - Applying the Rule of Thirds

The image on the left breaks the rule of thirds because the ferris wheel is in the center, there is another ride visible on the left side, and it is so zoomed out that you can see all the people walking. Applying the rule of thirds cropped out the ride that appeared black and not meant to be there. It also makes the ferris wheel off to the side on the point where most eyes look to first.

08/22/2017 - Digital Editing GIF

Photo Edit Description:
1. In this assignment we took a regular image that was edited how we liked, and edited four frames differently and then edited them together into a moving video. We had to understand how to copy and past images onto a video timeline and control the time of each frame, but before that we had to learn how to edit each image with different filters. I knew I was ready for this assignment because I like editing photos but I had never used photoshop and I was excited and ready to learn.
2. I edited the image by adding filers and adjusting the contrast, brightness, and the thickness of the lettering in the image. I feel like this images portraits brightness because I made sure that in every image, the filer made the lightpost to the left and the car headlights stood out from the black and white filers.
3. I have seen gifs on photography sites, instagram,

9/14/17 Camera Frames

Photo Edit Description:
1. Camera Frames is an assignment explaining the different ways you can take an image and what type of image it is based on the amount of the main subject is visible. We needed to understand that by capturing different aspects of an image, it creates a natural frame. In order to capture these images frames we went through an interactive power point to learn and acquire proper concepts, practiced frames, practiced capturing frames and also analyzed frames from a film and articulated each.
2. This assignment connects to the real world industry because these frames help the photographer capture exactly what they want and how close or far they need to be to do so. These frames can be used when you are trying to capture an objects with the background being the focus point or being very close to an object to see every aspect.

10/18/2017 Shutter Speed

This image of a clapper was captured using a shutter speed of about 1/500 of a second at a faster shutter speed you are able to see more exposure. The image still looks like its in "frozen motion."
This image of a clapper was captured using a shutter speed of 1/4 of a second. In this image it is easy to tell that the clapper is portraying motion and is much blurrier that the first image.
The final image of a clapper was captured using a shutter speed of 1/2 of a second. This image shows only blurriness. Since it is a smaller shutter speed, the image was given a lot of light.
